FIGHT BACK!

Last night, my friend and I had laid out some outlines for ourselves. I was excited about them, but as I was about to lay my head to sleep, I found myself feeling a little anxious about the days ahead of me. That’s why Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:34, “Take no thought for tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient unto this day is the evil within itself.”

But I only started to feel anxious when the enemy started whispering lies in my head. And I’ll admit, this is a negative thought pattern that has hindered me for a minute when it comes to feeling excited about things. It was hard for me to feel excited about things to come because that causes me to think about the future, and my thoughts about the future always turn out negative for a reason I could not figure out until now. For a while, I was struggling with anxiety. Anxiety about future things out of my control, and this affected my walk with God and how I did things. I was acting more out of fear and not out of Faith, and that’s what hindered me.

Last night, the enemy whispered a thought in my head, “What if you don’t make it to then,” which caused me to ask myself, “What if I don’t make it?” But a video of Pastor Phillip Anthony Mitchell has come up on my social media feeds multiple times, and in it, he tells the people, “Every thought is not your own.” So that ministered to my mind and my spirit, and I actually applied that to my life. I decided to fight back with a different, more positive question: “What if I do make it?” Then I backed it up with scripture, and I took those thoughts captive and made them OBEDIENT TO CHRIST, a.k.a. GOD’S WORD. I chose to speak life into myself to increase my faith instead of allowing the enemy to whisper lies and increase fear.

I spoke Isaiah 55:8-9 over my life, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Then I spoke Jeremiah 29:11 over my life, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

I will continue to speak the word over my life and encourage myself in the Lord to change the way I think, so that I can be more of who He calls me to be.

I pray this encourages you and that God gives you the wisdom and desire to do the same.

II Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV; KJV “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds(lies of the enemy/negative thoughts), casting down arguments, imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

Additional weapons of warfare mighty in GOD

I Corinthians 2:9 “But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who LOVE HIM.’”

Ephesians 6:12-18 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—”

I love you, but most importantly, Jesus Loves You!<3

Blessings & Love,

Taniyah
