ROMANS 8:29
For those whom God foreknew He also predestined to be CONFORMED to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Christians are not perfect… Yet.
I am aware of the misrepresentations and misconceived notions of the “Christian” name. I am also aware that because of these mistakes and misinterpretations, there are consequences; some people do not want to be labeled as Christian, even if they believe and have a relationship with Jesus, and others withdraw from theology as a whole. For example, some individuals don’t want to be Christian because of those “Holier than thou” Christians, or, as I consider them, Pharisee Christians. Pharisee Christians contribute to the misconception of the Christian name through their hypocritical views and interactions. Others may not want to be labelled as Christian because they don’t feel worthy to be labelled as such out of fear and/or reverence for what they THINK the name means; that to be Christian you have to be perfect, which is a common misconception. Though these reasons are understandable, they are only deceptions and setbacks to your new life in Jesus.
A purpose of this website is to help people understand Christianity as a whole: what it means to be “Christian” and what the name “Christian” signifies. A Christian, in simple words, is a Disciple - a follower of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Son of God, sent by the Father for the atonement of our sins. JESUS is the ONLY perfect being to ever walk the earth. You do not have to be perfect to be Christian. No Christian is perfect! “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but we are justified by His Grace and the redemption we have in JESUS (ROMANS 3:23-24).” “And if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 JOHN 1:8).” But even in our sin, God loves you just as you are. It’s evident through Him sending His only begotten Son to die for our sins, WHILE we were STILL sinners (ROMANS 5:8). God wants to have a relationship with you so that you receive all of His promises and live the life that He desires for you to live. Additionally, as Christians, perfection is what we ought to be striving toward by following the ways and commands of Jesus, which are written in the word of God, through the guidance of our Helper, the HOLY SPIRIT. Christians are not perfect, but we are striving to be perfect like Christ Jesus, even though it may not always seem like it.
Those Pharisee Christians are a reason why it is important that we each get to know God for ourselves. How we get to know God is through reading His Word, THE BIBLE. Through reading God’s word, we not only learn about God, but also about what God expects from us. JESUS is evidence that God knows we will never be perfect as long as we are here on this earth. God knows that we will make mistakes here on earth. However, there are still some things that God requires from us while we are here, both as a church (the body of Christ) and individually. And through reading His word, you will come to know the things that God TRULY requires and expects from us. And as you incorporate these things into your life, it will build and strengthen your relationship with God, which is mainly what Christianity is about, RELATIONSHIP.
JESUS LOVES YOU just as you are, in your sin, mess, and all. You are never too far gone for Jesus to save you and work it for your good. Believe that He died for you and try Him out for yourself, He’s just a prayer away. You don’t have to be perfect to be Christian, but you should be committed to doing better and living righteously. By that I mean that you should always seek to do what is pleasing in the sight of God, and what is morally right according to the word of God. By doing this, we show our love towards God. Jesus did no wrong to others, nor in the sight of God; He was Perfect for us. This is why we follow Jesus, because we are not just, but we are justified by Him who lived justly. It is through JESUS that we have been justified as Christians; Through God’s Saving Grace and His Unconditional Love. God knows that we will make mistakes; that’s why He sent Jesus to die as an atonement for our sins, so that through Him we can be made perfect. And don’t be discouraged my love, we don’t have to do this lifelong task alone. In fact, we cannot do it on our own! God promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). God will also send the Holy Spirit to help us do and become what is pleasing in His sight. And He will also send other Christ-like minded people to help us on our journey towards eternal life.
Think about it like this: Our imperfections are made perfect through the works of JESUS. Therefore, we are perfectly imperfect through Jesus….
